Low Tide | Rachel Fischer
Window BOX

Low Tide explores the compression of space and time into a seamless whole. If these boundaries no longer exist, one’s own perception of the self must also shift. For Fischer this translates into a massing of intuitive images, colors and textures within the Window BOX. The resulting environment is one that offers a visual stream of consciousness that wavers between the ethereal and the physical.

Rachel Fischer is a multi-media artist currently residing in Denton, Texas. She earned her MFA at the University of North Texas, and has shown in exhibitions across Texas and nationally. In 2014 she was recipient of the Dallas Museum of Art, Arch and Anne Giles Kimbrough Fund. In 2015 she co-founded the artists studios and creative space Brick Haus Collective, which received a Nasher Sculpture Center Artist Microgrant. Most recently her work was included in New American Paintings 2016 Western Competition, Issue number 126.
