Mirror, Mirror: Mockingly Minute examines the idea of imitation from objects to people. Toying with the idea of Plato’s argument on Mimesis, that all art imitated life and therefore was not, as he put it, really real, because nothing on the physical plane can be. Seven different artists attempt to grapple with Plato’s argument while leaving viewers to decide if the end results are just that- really real.

The exhibition is curated by Yma Luis as a member of The C.R.I.T.T. Project (Conversations Representing Individual Thoughts Together). The C.R.I.T.T. Project is a growing group of local Texas artists whose mission is to connect emerging and established Texas-based artists through their studio practice, and inspire creative dialogues that traverses the entire state, allowing for collaborations, group exhibitions, and critiques.
