BOX13 artists Nick Vaughan and Jake Margolin are presenting a solo exhibition of their work at the Invisible Dog gallery in Brooklyn, NY. The show, 50 STATES: TEXAS, OKLAHOMA; COLORADO, is the result of two years of extensive research in these three states.
“Part of Nick & Jake’s 50 STATES project, a series of 50 large scale installations to be completed over the next several decades, in response to little-known pre-Stonewall LGBTQ histories from each state, the work asserts that our nation’s LGBTQ histories, while under-recognized, are an integral part of our regional and national identities.” – The Invisible Dog gallery
The exhibition will be on view from September 10 – October 22, 2016. An opening reception will be held at The Invisible Dog on Saturday September 10, 2016 from 6 – 10 p.m.
