BOX 13 ArtSpace is pleased to present four exhibitions opening March 10, 2023, 6:30PM – 9:30PM.

In the Front BOX, Joshua Caleb’s exhibition entitled Food For Thought, curated by Julia Alejandrina, is an atomic examination of present day society and culture through the eyes of a black American.

Then in our Back BOX, Supported/Suspended is a group exhibition organized by Open MFA Artist Collective presenting work by 18 Houston-based artists of varying artistic backgrounds and disciplines. This exhibition is centered on a collaborative multimedia installationcomposed of small sculptural objects, large metal forms, a fiber-based tapestry, and 2D mixed-media works.

Moving on to the Window BOX, Eepi Chaad’s show P.E.T. Colonies of the Deep explores salps, colonial siphonophores documented with microplastics within their biomass, of the phylum Cnidaria which also includes jellyfish, coral, and anemones.

Finally, the Upstairs BOX exhibition Árbol genial-lógico (Genial-Logical Tree) by artist Carolina Borja uses as a reference the genealogy tree and invites the public to provide input on their own family ties.

These exhibitions continue through April 15, 2023.
An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2023, 6:30 PM– 9:30 PM
